FAQ:
Q1. How can I sign up?
Applications to be added to this game will continue to be open for the foreseeable future. For any BFC members who want to be added to the BFC Playground, please submit an application here.
Q2. What is the BFC?
The BFC stands for Best Friends Club and is the name of the community that has been created surrounding the twitch streamer "brodie". You can find us at https://www.twitch.tv/brodie
Q3. What gave you this idea?
I wanted to show my gratitude and appreciation for the amazing community that is the BFC. So I had the idea to create a game that would include any voluntary BFC members to be added to the minigames that now exist within the BFC Playground.
Q4. What are all the game modes?
- Memory Game: Incorporates Easy (2x3), Medium (3x4) and Hard (4x5) difficulties, with the difficulty increasing in relation to the amount of tiles that you have to match. The profile picture and name of the member will be shown and the player has to match them according to what they think goes together. There is also sudden death versions that will not allow any mistakes to be made.
- Twitch Username Guesser: The player is given the profile picture of a BFC member and they have to guess what their username is. This is a quick-fire game, where the objective is to see how many matches the player can get in the allocated time slots. This game mode will also have the options of Easy (1min), Medium (45sec) and Hard (30sec) difficulties alongside sudden death versions.
- Profile Picture Guesser: Similar to the Twitch Username Guesser, but instead, the player is shown the username of a BFC member and you have to choose which profile picture is theirs. This is a quick-fire game, where the objective is to see how many matches the player can get in the allocated time slots. This game mode will also have the options of Easy (1min), Medium (45sec) and Hard (30sec) difficulties alongside sudden death versions.
- Higher or Lower Follower Age: The player is given the username and profile picture of a BFC member and the player has to guess how long the given user has been following the streamer "brodie". The objective for the player is to guess the follower age of 3 twitch users in as least amount of attempts as possible. This game mode will also have the options of Easy (10 lives), Medium (7 lives) and Hard (5 life) difficulties alongside sudden death versions of Easy (1min), Medium (45secs) and Hard (30secs).
If you encounter any issues or have any suggestions involving the game, please submit them here.
Install instructions
Windows:
Open the zipped folder and drag out the "BFC Playground 1.0" folder and put it on your desktop or wherever you want to play the game from. Then to play, run the "BFC Playground" exe file (the one with the BFC icon) and you'll be good to go. If there is a window that comes up and says "Windows protected your PC", press the "More info" text and then press the "Run anyway" button.
Mac:
Open the zipped file. Then to play, run the "BFCPlaygroundv1.0" application. If it does not allow you to open it, there is probably a security measure prohibiting it. To bypass this, go to System Preferences-->Security and Privacy-->General, then press the "allow" button at the bottom of the window to run the game.
In the case of the message - "BFCPlaygroundv1.0" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Bin. - you have to move the application into the "Applications" folder on your mac (you can find it by pressing command-space and searching for it). Then open your terminal (also find it by pressing command-space and searching for it) and paste the following line of code in, then press the 'enter' key:
xattr -cr /Applications/BFCPlaygroundv1.0.app
Then try to open the application again and it should work. If another issue occurs, be sure to submit it here.
